EmberFest art workshops kicked off this past weekend at the Civic Centre and with them came a whole new wave of creative energy and excitement for this year’s winter festival. It’s going to be a blend of old and new, with iconic traditions that you’ll remember from years past paired with new exciting activities, like live music at three different venues in town.
What makes the winter festival so special here in Golden is that it’s a grassroots, volunteer lead event. People come together for weeks (even months!) in advance to brainstorm and organize themes, activities, costumes, and performances. It’s an iconic example of Golden’s dedication to the community.
Despite the hard working efforts of all these folks, we still need more hands on deck. Kicking Horse Culture is looking for volunteers to help bring EmberFest 2025 to life! Whether it’s setting the stage, welcoming guests, or lending a hand behind the scenes, there’s a role for everyone.
Volunteering is a fun way to meet new people, support local arts, and be part of something magical. Plus, all volunteers get a festival pass as a thank-you for their time and effort! This festival pass will get you into all of the music venues throughout the night.
In addition to volunteer support, you can now donate to EmberFest. Your donations enable KHC to host incredible festivals and programs that bring people together. Every contribution makes a difference! Donations can now be accepted on our website.
Sign up today and help us make this EmberFest unforgettable. Email us at PC@kickinghorseculture.ca or visit us in person at AGOG for more information about how you can get involved.
