Volunteer

Volunteer with Kicking Horse Culture to learn more about arts and culture, meet people and engage with the community.

Tell us a little about yourself and your skills and the time you would like to share to help support what KHC does for the community.

Grants

Kicking Horse Culture (KHC) provides support to the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance (CKCA) to disseminate and adjudicate grants to local artists. CKCA funding programs are usually launched towards the end of January, with application deadlines in March. To learn more about this granting program, visit the CKCA Funding Programs page.

KHC staff helps inform local artists and organizations about granting opportunities, as they arise, and provides informal mentorship opportunities, encouragement and advice throughout the process.

Scholarships

Every year, Kicking Horse Culture awards scholarships to graduates of Golden Secondary School (GSS) who have contributed to the cultural life of the community and intend to pursue those interests in their post-secondary training. Students can apply directly through GSS.
