About the Artist
Christopher Dehart is a photographer based in the Columbia Valley. As a proud member of the Shuswap Band, he has grown up in the East Kootenay region. He first got behind the lens in 2019 at the age of 14, when his parents bought him a camera for Christmas. Wildlife is the first subject that Christopher fell in love with capturing as it was a way to share what he saw. In the summer of 2019, Christopher began bringing his camera along on more adventures in the mountains and focusing less on wildlife. With the purchase of his first truck in 2022, came many more outdoor endeavours and the opportunity to share moments of them with family and friends. Naturally, Christopher’s focus gradually shifted towards landscape imagery. The dedication that Christopher has to capturing the beauty of the natural world can be seen in his stunning photographs.
