Travis Pickering was born and raised in Golden, and this rising country star will get a hero’s reception when he returns here as a Summer Kicks headliner. “This town has been incredibly supportive from the start . . . you only get one hometown, and I’m always proud to say that Golden is mine,” declares this multiple award-winning singer-songwriter.
Inspired by artists such as Johnny Cash and Don Henley, Pickering delivers a soulful blend of neo-traditional country and alt-rock that’s made him a fan favourite throughout B.C. and Alberta.
