About The Event

pennylane shenProfessional Development Weekend for Visual Artists #2 with Pennylane Shen

Making art is one thing, making a living is another. Learn the nitty gritty of building an art career from one of Vancouver’s most vibrant art advisors, Pennylane Shen

This weekend in Golden intends to serve as a friendly and informative opportunity for visual artists the Basin’s rural communities to come together, build connections, and share in the joys and challenges of working outside urban centres.

Pennylane Shen came to Golden in April 2019 for two days of workshops and they were so well received that we applied for and received CKCA funding to present these upcoming two days in early October.

Take a look at the workshops we are offering on Saturday and Sunday in the info below and then come and register or request more information by filling out the contact form. We’ll reply. Payment is then required to confirm your space. Call us at 250 344-6186 and pay with a credit card over the phone or come pay in person at the gallery. Any questions… just let us know.

N.B. If you would like to have your work considered for review in the Small Group Critique, click the box. Although all can participate, only 6 artists will have their work reviewed. That selection will be based on providing a diversity of media and experience to critique.

We look forward to hearing from you and creating a helpful series of workshops that we believe will provide great support to rural visual artists.

Please Register: Full weekend pass $135; Single day pass $75. Includes lunch.
