MILF & Cookies – Anne Marie Scheffler

Comedy phenomenon Anne Marie Scheffler once again returns to Golden to share her latest laugh-a-minute autobiographical report from the front lines of the 40-something dating scene. Her two earlier shows here – MILF Life Crisis and Suddenly Mommy – were outrageous hits, and her brand new lark, MILF & Cookies, promises to be similarly candid in its depiction of the awkward truths of dating after getting divorced. (And just so you know, the once-profane acronym MILF is now unconvincingly sanitized as Mothers I Love to Facebook.) Billed as “a comedy about getting what you really want for Christmas,” Cookies is a follow-up to MILF Life Crisis, with the ever-lovable Anne Marie, still sexy and now happily single, having decided to embrace her MILFdom. It’s Christmas and Anne Marie has assembled her MILF Squad, Terry and Kendra (with all characters performed by Scheffler). And as the three women trade stories from the front lines of dating, assess life choices, and confront the ghosts of boyfriends past they eventually realize there is one man they absolutely have to visit – the unsuspecting Santa at a nearby shopping mall.

The setup is classic Anne Marie Scheffler, who is a professional actor, writer, comedian, and voice artist who splits her time between Toronto and Los Angeles. This one-woman comedy industry has created and toured nine solo shows across Canada and the United States, is an award-winning screenwriter, and has a pair of comedy CDs selling on iTunes.
