About The Event
We are a small part of a greater world and no matter what pressures are created in our minds, existence is reality. You have a choice to perceive positively and connect with the world around. My goal with art is to be in that realm and capture the essence of appreciation for the moments we encounter. My compositions are what I see as a freeze frame in perfection of an imperfect world.
About the Artist
Born at 3048m (10,000ft) in Fairplay, Colorado, (South Park), amongst some of the highest peaks in the Rocky Mountains, Aine Falter has never strayed far from the amazing world of Mother Nature and her spirit of ethereal elegance. Growing up with an artistic minded family, a passion for outdoor adventure and art has transformed into a real appreciation for composition and to capture and share some of the beauty in every journey big or small through photography. He started in art with realistic portrait pencil drawings and began airbrush painting. His projects included motorcycle helmets and having the great experience of painting portraits and scenes of historic local figures on a transit bus in his long-time home of Crested Butte, Colorado. As life twists and takes many unexpected turns, he met his life partner from Canada. They had a child and eventually made their home in beautiful British Columbia, where Mother Nature is truly a living masterpiece. With a new life beginning, balance between work and family life, and the desire to continue creating can be a challenge for the artistic mind. He began going out at night to capture astrophotography and the world after child rearing and bedtime stories in order to satisfy the creative brain’s desires. There is always something amazing happening out in the landscape and the camera quickly became something he rarely leaves home without . The stories behind his shots are generally focused on the moments that sometimes pass by so fast they elude our ability to absorb their awe, wonder and beauty. A sunrise, a sunset, an aurora that comes in and fades with the spirits. All provoke the creative mind and help us live beyond our societal barriers of daily life.
