Their genre-fluid sound weaves together Soul, Neo-Folk, Funk, Hip-Hop, and R&B—music that moves the body while opening space for reflection and feeling.

A Black African queer, disabled, non-binary immigrant and in her words, an uninvited settler, Tonye traces their ancestral roots to the lands now known as Nigeria and Zimbabwe. Born in London, England and now living on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, their work is shaped by lived experience and an ongoing practice of unlearning, re-learning, and collective care.
