Motus O’s Alice in Wonderland … and more!

Part Dance – Part Theatre – Part Triathlon. 25 years in the making!

7:30 Saturday, Jan 23
Golden Civic Centre

One of Ontario’s most cherished and accomplished dance-theatre companies, MOTUS O is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a cross-Canada tour. Specializing in family-friendly performance, the multiple award-winning MOTUS O combines athletic choreography, innovative staging and costuming, exciting music – and a decidedly wacky sensibility – to reinvent classic repertoire.

The first half of the show features a selection of their most popular short works that have entertained audiences all across North America, Britain, and the South Seas. The show then culminates with their signature adaptation of Alice In Wonderland. With its combination of mime, spoken text, vibrant energy, and zany humour, this Alice will take you down the rabbit hole into an enchanted world peopled with such immortal Lewis Carroll characters as the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts.

Fast-paced and beautifully choreographed, Alice also incorporates many locals of all ages into the performance, offering a rare opportunity for some lucky Golden-ites to experience theatrical magic from the other side of the curtain. Full of charm and humour, there is something for little and big audience members alike. It’s a tale we all know, but freshly woven into a fantastical new adventure — and not to be missed!
