KHC/AGOG presents 4 Visual Arts community workshops

KHC/AGOG Presents
4 Visual Arts community workshops
to get inspired for this November’s
“I Like It!” The 2019 Anonymous Art Show

Hey you! It doesn’t matter whether you are young or old. It doesn’t matter whether you think of yourself as a practicing artist or just like to have fun playing around with creating something. AGOG wants you to do your best and submit a piece into the 2nd annual community art exhibit called “I Like It” The 2019 Anonymous Art Show opening at AGOG this year on November 1.

And to help inspire you, we’ve created these four evening workshops which will run Wednesday evenings at the Civic Centre. All workshops will be based on using an 8” x 8” frame canvas or frame board available for workshop participants at cost at AGOG. Some paint supplies will be provided. Workshop fee is $20. Registrations are limited to 20 per class.

After your registration confirmation, AGOG staff will email you with further details and a list of supplies you will need to bring to your workshop(s).

We’re sure you will agree this is a great line-up of workshop leaders:

6 – 9pm Wed. Sept 11: Kristy Gordon (Nelson/NYC)
Fundamental principles of various paint application techniques

6 – 9pm Wed. Sept 18: Jayne Baun (Golden)
Illustration – Layering techniques with pencil crayon and watercolours

6 – 9pm Wed. Sept 25: Regan Johnston (Golden)
How to paint wildlife – step by step

To Register for workshops:

Call (250) 344-6186 or come into AGOG and pay with your credit card, cash, debit.
we definitely want to invite children and youth to submit their 8″ x 8″ canvas frames or wood panels into the I Like It exhibit BUT these workshops will be detailed and will need focus.

Email info@kickinghorseculture if you have questions with “Workshops” in the subject line.
