Audition for A Christmas Carol

MOTUS O dance theatre is auditioning for:



This could be YOU on stage with Motus O!

“A Christmas Carol” will be performed at the Golden Civic Centre on December 1, 2013 at 2pm as part of our LIVE Kicks series. This is your chance to perform alongside professional actors and dancers from Ontario’s MOTUS O dance theatre!

If you’re interested in auditioning, here’s what you need to know:

Audition Location – Golden Civic Centre

Audition Date and Time – Tuesday November 19th from 5pm to 8:30 pm

Audition Requirements:

  • There are parts for girls aged 7 and up, and boys aged 6 and up. Adults too!
  • Comfortable clothing and shoes are always a good idea.  Bring tap shoes if you tap!
  • There is no need to prepare an audition piece and you don’t have to be a dancer to be in the show. 
  • You must be registered in advance in order to audition.
  • Actual roles will be announced at the first rehearsal.                                      
  • Basic costume items (black pants & white and black tops for all, and 1 or 2 small inexpensive add-ons for some characters) are to be supplied by the performers.  Details will be announced at the first rehearsal.
  • You must be available for all rehearsals and the show day to be considered for a role.
  • Bring your own snacks and water to the audition and rehearsals. 

Rehearsal Schedule: Golden Civic Centre 
Friday November 29th: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday, November 30th: 9:00am – 4:00 pm
Sunday, December 1st: 9:00am – 12pm – This is the Dress Rehearsal 

Performance Date  – Golden Civic Centre
Sunday, December 1st @ 2:00pm       (performance is 2 hours + intermission)
