Civic Centre Production Training April 13/14, 2013

Very Special Theatre Training Opportunity! April 13 and 14th at the Golden Civic Centre.

5820KHC and the Civic Centre is looking for a handful of very motivated people who would like to learn hands-on about the backstage workings of the shows that are produced at the Civic Centre.

On Saturday, April 13, Darrell Shaw – lead technical hand at The Banff Centre – will be on site at the Civic Centre to assist with and mentor our very own GCC production crew in the lighting and production of Flamenco Rosario’s Mis Hermanas.

The next day after the show (Sunday April 14), Darrell will be at the hall offering a day of training to our crew and those folks who have interest in learning more about the technical side of producing theatrical and musical events. If you are interested in shadowing our crew on the 13th and then participating in the training on the 14th, please email info@kickinghorseculture.ca with GCC Production Training in the subject.

It’s FREE! Only a few spots are available, so if this is something you have interest for, send us an email ASAP to secure a spot.

0869This training is a result of the new “big brother/little brother” mentoring relationship with The Banff Centre. Later this spring, our GCC Production Crew members will be provided the opportunity to travel to Banff and shadow the Banff Centre crew on show day. An amazing opportunity for our local folks! A great big thank you to The Banff Centre for their support of our ongoing training.
