One Enchanted Evening Snow King’s 12th MasqueParade!

Who’d a thunk it? Here we are deep into the planning of our 12th annual MasqueParade.  Every year hundreds of folks–both young and old–come together to create a fantastic night of revelry to welcome Snow King & Lady Spring back to the valley. As dusk falls on Saturday February 17, about 1300 people will gather from all over to enjoy our 12th anniversary spectacle.

The dream of our MasqueParade has always hearkened back to a time when neighbours came together to make their own entertainment. We put away our screens, put our imaginations in gear, raise up our hands –- and with a fair amount of glue and perspiration –make up some fantastic fun.

We invite you to inhabit your imagination for the next few weeks and join your creative silliness with all the other wild & silly creatures of the valley to create “One Enchanted Evening.” Together we make some pretty cool low tech magic!

MasqueParade Saturday Feb. 17 – gather in Spirit Square by 6:45pm

Here’s how to join in: Over the next few weeks in January and February local artists will help both young and old to create the Pageant by making large puppets, lanterns, costumes, fire spinning, stilt walking, and fantastic pageantry.  Our Snow King’s Play House is our club house for percolating ideas and bringing them to life.

Play House open to public:

Saturday Feb 3: 10 am to 5pm
